In a candid video posted on her Facebook page, Velarde explained her absence and the decision to prioritize her health.

The singer revealed that her body had an unusual reaction, rejecting the implant, which led to painful complications.
Following a doctor’s appointment, swelling in her face prompted her to cancel several public appearances, including the 98 Degrees shows. However, she was still able to attend the second night of the concert.
"They were very nice, and we talked about the 'I Do (Cherish You)' collab we did," Velarde shared.
"It was very quick kasi pag-dating ko, patapos na 'yung concert."
Though she is still experiencing some pain and pressure while singing, Velarde assured fans that her vocal cords were unaffected.
"Kapit sabi ng tarsier," she quipped at the end of the video, keeping her spirits high despite the ordeal.
